Christmas is over. It is raining outside. Spring is coming! This is a great time of year to be a teacher. This is a time of year when we get to take a quick snapshot at what we have accomplished thus far in the year and look at the areas in which we have not done so well. Just imagine that you go through the entire school year doing what you had been doing all year. You did not take the time to do some spring cleaning; therefore, you missed a few areas that maybe were not the end of the world, but if changed, could have improved your class by leaps and bounds.
Here is a list of items to look for when “Spring Cleaning”:
1. Communication to parents
2. Lesson plans
3. Student’s individual grades
4. Cleanliness of classroom
5. Class averages
6. Am I giving enough writing assignments?
7. How much Bible are the students getting from me?
8. Teacher/student relationship
9. Are my illustrations and presentations working?
