Being a North Valley Baptist Schools student means being a part of a great school and a thriving ministry. Numerous programs, activities, plays, sporting events, science fairs, concerts, carnivals, homecoming ceremonies, banquets, and of course, graduation, are all a part of what makes North Valley Baptist Schools distinctive and extraordinary.

Chapel is held regularly for all students, at which time special speakers and music are presented. In the elementary grades, there may be classroom observances of special occasions such as birthdays and holidays. In the upper grades, there may be parties from time to time that have been approved by the administration.

Students are expected to participate in all school programs, and they are expected to learn their parts and be prompt. A student can derive much benefit from such opportunities, not the least of which is learning to be reliable.

Each year, a homecoming king and queen from the senior class and a prince and princess from each class are recognized at a scheduled varsity basketball game. The student body officers and their advisor make plans for homecoming. An election is held for the homecoming king, queen, princes, and princesses three weeks prior to the homecoming event. The festivities immediately follow the game.

At the end of the school year, there will be a formal graduation for students graduating from kindergarten, middle school, and high school. This is a dignified occasion, and attendance is mandatory for all students.

Preacher Boys Club In 2006, North Valley Baptist Schools launched a Preacher Boys Club. This club meets on Fridays during lunch time and is sponsored by Mr. Josh Nolan. Young men in 6th through 12th grade are encouraged to be a part of this club. Topics covered include the power of God, starting an opener, reading the Bible out loud, and developing sermon points, explanations, illustrations and applications. Young men are also taught about these different types of preaching: topical, expository, tangent, "popcorn," impromptu, and planned.

This club meets every Monday during lunch and covers topics such as the following:

  3. Proper songs - fast/slow
  4. Powerful lessons
  5. Prizes
  6. Problem students
