Course Description: Algebra 2 will prepare students for Calculus and includes explicit embedded geometry instruction. Algebra 2 reinforces trigonometry concepts and provide practice with statistics. Real-world problems and applications for other subjects like physics and chemistry are also included. Graphing calculator labs investigate and model mathematical situations.

Special Projects and Presentations: There may be special projects, presentations, and research papers assigned throughout the course. Topics, length, proper formatting, due dates, and other details will be addressed when these projects are assigned. There will be at least 1 special project due during the second semester.
Makeup Work for Excused Absences: Students are expected to make up all missed work within the time limit prescribed in the NVBS Student Handbook. The student is responsible to ask Miss Hussin for any information regarding any work he or she has missed.
Late Work (Unexcused): Any assignment or portion of an assignment turned in late will be penalized. Please refer to the NVBS Student Handbook.

- 8.5″ x 11″, loose-leaf binder paper, college-ruled (strongly recommended: graph paper)
