Bulldogs Athletics
The North Valley Bulldogs high school interscholastic sports program includes soccer, basketball, and baseball - along with middle school basketball. Recent additions to our sports program include a junior varsity/varsity roller hockey team and girls' volleyball teams. Our baseball, basketball, and soccer teams compete in the Private Schools Athletic League within the CCS.
It is a privilege for any student to be a member of our sports program. This privilege may be restricted due to grades, behavior, attitude, accumulation of demerits, or any serious infraction of school rules. It is our goal to have athletes that possess character both on and off the field.

The game started out great for the Bulldogs as they had full control over their opponent, but they could not find the back of the net. Although the shot clock was at 33-8 in favor of the Bulldogs, the scoreboard was 2-0 in favor of San Francisco as the final whistle blew. The difference in this disappointing loss for the Bulldogs was the quality of the shots taken. |

The Bulldogs came out slow at the start of the game with absolutely no communication. Fortunately, Alma Heights was not able to capitalize in the first half on NV's lethargic start. In the second half, the Bulldogs's opposition was able to score about ten minutes into the half, but Zack Langston was able to tie the score on a free kick at the end of the second half. The game ended in a tie after two five-minute overtimes. |

The Bulldogs started the game looking very lethargic compared to the highly-energetic Celtics. Two goals were given up by the Bulldogs in the first half, and St. Lawrence was able to put two more in the net during the second half. The closest NV came to scoring a goal was a shot off the post by Josiah Gutierrez. |

NV played solid defense to start the game against the highly-favored EPAA Bulldogs. At the end of the first half, the score was 2-0 as North Valley held the short end of the stick. As the second half progressed, the Bulldogs appeared to fall apart as EPAA nearly missed on chance after chance. After a long fight from the Bulldogs, EPAA tallied four goals in the midst of the game's final moments. |

NV had a booming start as Luke Flood scored a goal within the first three minutes of the game. With the great start, the Bulldogs dominated Kehillah throughout the entire game. Many reserve players for the Bulldogs -- Jeff Nguyen, Jordan Gilreath, and Daniel Ryan -- were able to contribute, tallying their first goals of the season. The Bulldog's keeper, Josh Cooper, also scored a goal as he played the field for the entire second half. |

After a long drive to Pacifica, the Bulldogs were ready to play the game that would decide the fate of their post-season. The momentum of the game went back and forth between the two teams, but Josh Cooper was able to stop a penalty kick at the end of the first half. With new life in the Bulldogs as they started the second half, with an assist from Kyle Boruff, Josiah Gutierrez was able to score to end the scoreless duel. The Bulldogs will now be going to playoffs for the first time in two years. |
| 11/6 | DCP | Home | 3:30 | L/O |
2-1
|
NV was determined to give second-place DCP a run for their money. The Bulldogs started the game with everyone on defense which frustrated the visiting team. NV held DCP to one goal in the first half, and shut them out in the second half. With about ten minutes left to go in the second half, Josiah Gutierrez scored on a cross from sweeper Zachary Langston. This goal put the game into overtime, but the Bulldogs were not able to keep the ball out of the net as Downtown scored on a richochet. |
| 11/9 | LCPA | San Jose | 3:00 |

6-0
|
This game was the first round of the CPSAL playoffs as the sixth-seed Bulldogs played the first-ranked Eagles. NV played an average game as LCPA played a great game. Throughout the two halves, the Bulldogs had a few chances to score, but Latino was able to take advantage of every scoring opportunity. It was a sad loss to end a good season for the Bulldogs. |
